The Wood: collected from stubs and branches of pruned trees grown on the Maltese Islands some of which are carob, mulberry, loquat, plum, peach, apple, orange, tangerine, lemon, fig, pomegranate, vine and prickly pear.

The Concept: keeping pieces of maltese trees alive forever. Turning and hollowing to a desired thickness, or shall i say thinness, so as not to split with changes in tempreture and/or humidity. And presserving by filling the cells of the wood with natural ingrediants, not leaving any films on the wood that will fall off in time.

The Pieces: 360 degrees of surprise. The number of growth rings between core and bark  determine the age. Particular pieces have intersecting branches, borer holes and trails, abnormalities and other natural marks.
